Wow- I don't even know where to begin on this game!!

Still smarting from the very narrow (and unfair) loss the last time we met this team, meeting them for a second time knowing they could be the only team that stood between us and having a shot at winning the league we knew the assignment was to win !

This team understood the assignment! With a slightly revised start with Ava having to make an unusual appearance at GA (thanks Ava!) we didn't let that distract us from the objective. We went out strong with a focus on nailing the basics!

We managed to get a narrow lead of a couple of goals in the first quarter- which we kept for the next two quarters.

Going into the final quarter with a strong lead we knew we couldn't back off as we did not want a repeat of the last match so with renewed mini egg fuelled energy we pushed on in the final quarter and managed to pull away further with everyone doing their job defensively and the shooters ensuring we sunk the goals!

This was by far the most nerve wracking game I've ever done where we wanted the win so much- it still feels like we have won the Olympics!

It was an amazing whole team performance with every player doing their job and making an impact- even when players weren't on court they were cheering for their team mates and offering encouragement from the bench!

Well done girls!

Now we have the focus for the remainder of the season and winning the rest of our games- the league title is in our grasp- now the hard yards start to take it! We've got this!
