Another great performance from our Jaguars team in the Hampshire County league on Saturday. They once again managed to secure the win- but also push for a better score line than the previous time we met the opposition- well done team!

Again it was great to see the team put into practice what we had discussed before the start of the game and making sure we all did our best to put pressure on the ball and passes when the opposition had the ball- we all did this and it had a great impact in forcing errors!

We seem to be a team that takes the first quarter to remember what we are doing as it was not our cleanest quarter with lots of unforced errors and bunching on the court making it hard to see the right pass. Our drives were a little flat and we generally made life difficult for ourselves- that said we did still take the lead in the first quarter.

We then found our rhythm and composure and started to see some really slick passages of play through court- Great defensive pressure from all the girls made it very tough for the opposition to get the ball close to the net- well done girls! Transitioning the ball down court got better and better as we improved our spacing and drives- and we generally connected well as a team. Rose's dominance in the vertical challenges when the ball is in the air is absolutely formidable- and today the connections in the attack end really showed the level of trust the girls have in rose as there were countless balls placed into what appeared to be empty space- only for Rose to appear from nowhere and shoot! This is no doubt what earned Rose yet another oppositions POM!

Rose and Amelie connected well in the shooting circle moving the ball around to get the optimum position- both shooting well.

Niamh had a great game - particularly in the last quarter as GD- picking up many intercepts- hers arms over pressure also caused many balls to go awry and be picked up by Isla or Sophie- again fantastic team work!

Well done girls- lots still to work on but some amazing performances that keep going from strength to strength!
