First game of 2025 for our youngest team in Hants County league with Jaguars- and their first game since Nov! I think being game rusty may have explained the shaky start.
We went into the second quarter a couple of goals behind- but with renewed grit and determination we started to pull back and get some great turnovers which were largely converted.
In Q3 we started to find our normal rhythm and connect well across court which saw us pull ahead of our opposition with more focused defensive pressure and discipline we had a very strong championship quarter with us converting many of our turnovers and our opposition only managed to score 1 goal in that quarter.
Fourth quarter was another great one- whilst we started to tire the girls showed great grit and determination and were very focused on hitting 30 goals in a County game that they've come so close to in the last few matches!
Well done girls, a great game, even if more nerve wracking at the start than I would have liked- it was great to see you fight back and push for the win!
Appreciate the focus and the fact that you all showed great attitudes and flexibility/versatility too with Emilie stepping into WD for the first time in a game at this level and Caitlyn dropping into circle defence- both playing a blinding game in these positions! You would never have known they were out of position and got so many key tips and turnover for us!
Well done girls- fantastic shooting again from Rose, India and Amelie too!
Oppositions POM went to Rose and Emilie
Coaches POM went to India and Caitlyn.
