A tough start for the Tigers team in the Hampshire league for 2025- although the score doesn't reflect the level of performance the girls displayed.

I was impressed with the girls in the game- they are still the newest formed team, with a few new team members and you can see so much potential and them really starting to gel at moments in the team.

Highlights for me in this game were the circles either end. In the defence end the oppositions shooters were both accurate, and incredibly tall. Despite the height difference our defence never gave up and I was so impressed that Paige particularly challenged every ball into the circle right until the very end ! Equally all of the defence combinations in GD worked very hard with Paige and they did disrupt ball- and turn some over which was very impressive!

Then at the other end I was really impressed to see the connection between the two shooters in the circle. Evie's performance with her relentless ability to sink shots was impressive. But it was real teamwork- when Evie was doubled up on I was impressed to see Chloe's movement and ability to step up and sink the shots. Equally I felt Chloe read the game well and timed her movement to draw her defence out when needed to free the circle up for Evie.

Whilst the game didn't go our way- there is lots of promise in the team- works on around some of our silly errors around passing and ball placement will see us be able to capitalize on the defensive turnovers.

I also felt the team took on board all feedback each quarter, putting it into practice and getting better and better each quarter!

Well done all- its was a great team effort and you all gave it 100% on court.
