After a whole month off of matches we were a little court rusty at the start of 2025- thankfully with a big bench of spare players we pulled together as a team to secure the win.

It was a slow start to the game, and coaches were impressed in the significant improvement from the opposition compared to our first meeting at the start of the season. We ended the first quarter with just 2 goals in it- which is an unusual position for us to be in!

The game was a very physical one with some sharp elbows appearing which rattled a number of the girls- but we managed to focus on the game and let the netball do the talking.

After a very solid second quarter we started to pull away and gain a good lead allowing us to focus and settle into our game.

We continued this form into the next two quarters with everyone improving each quarter.

I was really proud of the effort all of the girls put into the match- we spoke at the start about everyone doing their job and good arms over pressure wherever you play on court and from Q2 onwards all girls did this consistently which created great turnover opportunities' and also a number of held balls- Well done girls!

More work to do on our unforced errors which were unusually high today- think more fitness is needed :-)
